THE MYSTERY OF DIVINE PROTOCOL IN THE N.T. CHURCH

THE MYSTERY OF DIVINE PROTOCOL IN THE N.T. CHURCH
Covering dignifies Women before men and angels
From 1Corinthians 11:1-16, the Apostolic Scriptures reveal that there is a great mystery about ORDER OF DIVINE PROTOCOL – in accordance with the nature of the Godhead and because of circumstances at the origins and creation of male and female humans – which has now been revealed to the Apostles (1Cor 11:3). Every community or culture, parliament or gathering has its symbols and protocols of honour, even the Church!
The Church is the gathering and guild for prophesying or praying Saints where God is present with His Angels also in attendance to minister (worship the exalted God and serve the ordered Saints) according to a protocol mystery; so for maximum benefits, Christian Saints should conduct themselves according to this protocol mystery and not be ignorant of such spiritual order and decorum.
It is already common knowledge that God’s Spirit dwells in believers’ hearts and bears witness with the Saints at all times in relation with faith and power, sin and sanctity. This Scripture wants us to know, not about faith and power or sin and sanctity but further into the divine protocol mystery about ORDER OF DECORUM on dignity and disgrace or glory and shame appointed by God and respected by Angels in Christian Church gatherings (1Cor 11:1-3).
Whenever Christians gather in Christ’s Name, God has appointed that His Angels do not regard or respect believers by their faces but by the order of dignity attributed to their heads. So what is this order of dignity which God and His Angels regard on our heads whenever we gather as His Church and He is in our midst? Does He follow our cultural protocol and order or does God have His own angelic protocol and spiritual culture for the Church?
Whenever Angelic Beings (Angels and Demons) look at male Christians prophesying or praying with unveiled heads (like Greek and Roman men did in their culture) they see DIGNIFIED divine glory; but if those prophesying or praying male humans cover their heads with veil (like Jewish men did in their culture), such angelic beings see DISGRACEFUL human glory. Also, when Angels (or demons?) look at female Christians prophesying or praying with unveiled heads (like Greek women did in their culture) they see DISGRACEFUL human glory; but if those prophesying or praying female Christians cover their heads with veil (like Jewish and Roman women did in their culture), such angelic beings see DIGNIFIED divine glory (1Cor 11:4-12)!
In the spirit or angelic realm therefore, the worship veil of female humans becomes their powerful MANTLE OF DIGNITY and authority before Angels (Angels are spiritual Church ushers 1Cor 11:10; Heb 1:13-14) NOT A SYMBOL OF SUBJUGATION to men as many assume; similarly, in the physical or social realm long hair of female humans which is their natural glory usually serves as fashionable mantle of aesthetics (1Cor 11:13-15).
We cannot alter Divine Truth, though we could choose to neglect or reject, ignore or abhor the Truth or even attempt to modify and revise it to suit our cultures but to our unavoidable detriment!

PS.
Since we still have our maleness/femaleness for now, our sexually distinguishable heads carry certain distinguishable worship or liturgical symbols:

♦ The Man’s head symbolizes Christ’s Glory (1Cor 11:3, 7), so should be left unveiled;

♦ The Woman’s bald head symbolizes Man’s glory (1Cor 11:7), so should be veiled;

♦ The Woman’s long hair symbolizes Woman’s glory (1Cor 11:15), so should be veiled;

♦ The Woman’s worship veil symbolizes not only prophetic mantle but also mantle of dignity which covers the indignity of all that symbolize human glories (i.e. Woman’s head and long hair) and also serves as token of dignity or symbol ofauthority before the Angels (1Cor 11:10).

Notice that the veil does not subject her under the authority of her husband as many hastily assume without the context saying so. Otherwise her long hair should also symbolise subjection to her husband rather than good aesthetics. The veil dignifies her head in a way that God accepts and authorises her head in a way that Angels respect.

JUSTIFICATION and SALVATION: What they are under the Law vs under Grace?

JUSTIFICATION and SALVATION: What they are under the Law vs under Grace?

Presentation1

JUSTIFICATION is any form of temporal or eternal cancellation of guilty records by penal reparation or judicial acquittal from wrongdoings. Justification acquits sin and thereby imputes righteousness – legally/morally, outwardly/inwardly or temporarily/eternally.

SALVATION in Christ is not only ETERNAL Justification from damnation of sin and guilt, but also COMPLETE Redemption from demonic and depraved bondage, as well as INWARD Regeneration to partake in the Divine Nature of HEAVENLY Sonship through Christ for ETERNAL Inheritance in glory. Therefore, Eternal Salvation offered in the New Testament by the Blood of Christ supersedes temporal salvation offered in the Old Testament by the cleansing rituals of the Law and its priestly mediations. The offer of this uttermost super-salvation which is in Christ alone (Heb 7:25) is the message of the Gospel of Christ!

The finished Messianically mediated cleansing Works on the Cross superseded and outdated the repetitive Priestly mediated cleansing Works of the Law. But such greater salvation puts greater responsibility on those who are thus saved. They are now to exceed the righteous Pharisaic good works of carnal righteousness because they are now empowered by the Holy Spirit to do good works as the Fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Titus 2:14
(14) Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own, zealous of good works.

Titus 3:7-8
(7) That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
(8) This is a faithful saying, and these things I desire that you affirm constantly, that they who have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Titus 3:14
(14) And let our own also learn to maintain good works for urgent needs, that they not be unfruitful.

PENAL/RITUAL WORKS THAT ATONE are not same as GOOD WORKS THAT APPROVE! The Church often muddles up these two categories of works.

A guilty man is not counted righteous by GOOD WORKS of righteousness even under the Law or any culture. A guilty man is accounted righteous or acquitted by PENAL WORKS of paying a ransom and suffering a penalty or by RITUAL WORKS of mediated cleansing done by a priest. This always holds true under the Jewish Law as well as Gentile cultures. Even if you do righteous works they will never atone your unrighteousness but only approve you in your righteousness.

Christ did not sin but suffered the penalty acceptably and adequately, paid the acceptable and adequate ransom and performed the acceptable and adequate works of cleansing for all human sins.

WORKS that SAVE the guilty or sinner are not really about good works of righteousness (RIGHTEOUS WORKS) but actually about redeeming works of penalty, ransom and cleansing (REDEMPTIVE WORKS).

Works of the Law and the finished Work on the Cross are PENAL WORKS. These atone for sins.
Works of Righteousness and Fruit of the Spirit are GOOD WORKS. These don’t atone for sins.

The RITUAL works/ceremonies of the Law performed by the Priests on Israelites with blood, sacrifices, water, hyssop and other rites/observances of the Law, were provided by God as TEMPORARY means to ritually work OUTWARD sacerdotal atonement for wrongdoings until Christ comes (Heb 9:1-15). This Old deficiently symbolic and intermittent priesthood under the Law was to ensure Israel’s corruptible inheritance of the temporal Promised Land while this life and the earth last, but NOT for incorruptible inheritance of Heaven (1Pet 1:3-5) when this life and the earth pass away. Only under the New efficaciously substantive Priesthood of Christ is Heavenly Eternity graciously offered to all humanity through Faith in Christ.

Hebrews 7:22-28
(22)  By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better covenant.
(23)  And they truly were many priests, because they were not allowed to continue by reason of death:
(24)  But this man, because he continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood.
(25)  Therefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them.
(26)  For such a high priest was befitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
(27)  Who needs not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
(28)  For the law makes men high priests who have weakness; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, makes the Son, who is consecrated forevermore.

Before, during and after, within or without the Law, God always requires MORAL goodworks or works of righteousness from all persons and peoples, but such FADING righteousness does not and cannot cancel guilt or acquit records of wrongdoings, therefore they remain FILTHY because of such uncancelled sins (Isa 64:6). Only by the blood of Christ are such fading and filthiness effectively propitiated by grace for whosoever believes in Christ. To be sure, every righteous work sown by anyone (under or outside the Law) always reaps guaranteed TEMPORAL reward (Psa 1; Prov 11:18; 15:6), but ETERNAL reward is only for righteous works done by those already saved through Christ. This exceedingly great and precious provision in Christ (2Pet 1:3-4) is the Goodnews we preach!

After one is saved in Christ, MORAL goodworks or works of righteousness done through the enabling Grace of Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit, (without any need for all the RITUAL works/ceremonies of the Law mediated by its priests) become worthy to fully please God (Col 1:10) and be rewarded eternally (Rev 22:11-14). This is God’s purpose for saving us and endowing us with Grace through Christ and indwelling us by the Holy Spirit (Eph 2:10). Whatever we think Gospel Salvation in Christ to mean or meant for is not important except the Scriptures say so.

Simply put:

  • It is God, not ourselves, Who in His mercy saves us BY the power of His grace THROUGH our faith in Christ.
  • Our salvation is not possible to be OF works (whether PENAL WORKS, GOOD WORKS and RIGHTEOUS WORKS of the Law) but is meant to be UNTO goodworks of GRACE, FAITH and FRUIT in Christ.
  • This is God’s intention and purpose for saving us.

Ephesians 2:8-10
(8)  For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
(9)  Not of works, lest any man should boast.
(10)  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.

Believers saved by Grace must be stirred up to diligently ensure that their Faith and God’s Grace in them produce the Spiritual Fruit of goodworks (2Pet 1:5-13) and never to disappoint God (Heb 10:26-31) or disdain “so great a salvation”! (Php 2:12-13; Heb 2:1-3). Believers must always remember that using Grace to sin is forbidden (Rom 6:14-15) and any Faith that lacks goodworks is dead (Jas 2:17-20).

In summary, these are spiritual means to various degrees of blessings:

  1. OUR WORKS of righteousness: This, whenever sowed by whosoever, reaps temporal reward but cannot cleanse sins or attain eternal salvation. Nevertheless, the Goodworks of the believer done through the Fruit of the Spirit and Christ’s enabling Grace are rewarded with eternal crowns.
  2. OUR FAITH in God and in His Christ: Through this alone could we receive imputed righteousness and eternal salvation.
  3. The ritual WORKS OF THE LAW: This has temporal and external cleansing power but lacks inward and eternal saving power.
  4. The saving GRACE OF CHRIST: By this alone are we granted inward and eternal salvation, but this also favours us with temporal blessings, though it puts greater responsibility on us too.

TRIBULATION SAINTS ARE NOT UNRAPTURED UNREADY SAINTS BUT FAITHFUL REMNANT OF MILITANT LIVING SAINTS.

TRIBULATION SAINTS ARE NOT UNRAPTURED UNREADY SAINTS BUT FAITHFUL REMNANT OF MILITANT LIVING SAINTS.

The Saints on earth during the Great Tribulation are not unraptured unready Saints but faithful Militant Church of enduring or living Saints still occupying in Christ.
The Souls in heaven during the Great Tribulation are not faithful raptured Saints but faithful Triumphant Church of departed or dead Souls already blessed in Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:8-9
(8)  Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
(9)  So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.

 Philippians 1:21-24
(21)  For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
(22)  If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell.
(23)  I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better.
(24)  But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account.

 Revelation 6:9-11
(9)  When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne.
(10)  They cried out with a loud voice, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”
(11)  Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brothers should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been.

Dispensationalists speculate their MODERN THEORY of “rapture” before the Second Comings of Christ, or ?double? or ?split?? Second Coming(s) first for a pretribulation Escapist “first flight” rapture of the faithful mainly partitioned Gentile Church and secondly for the final “second chance” resurrection of the unfaithful mainly partitioned Jewish Saints. This is conjectural hypothesis of human logic and not contextual exegesis of the Divine Logos. A concept of Rapture without Second Coming of Christ for Resurrection of the all His redeemed is strange to the Scriptures and the Church for 1900 years but suddenly true to Dispensationalists since modern and postmodern times.

Dispensationalists theoretically presume that the Souls in heaven found in the Book of Revelation are saints raptured before the Tribulation, but these souls are departed Triumphant Saints who would already be dead in Christ but yet to resurrect meanwhile (Rev 6:9-11; 14:12-13). The modern explanation speculated by Dispensationalists about the Tribulation Saints in the Book of Revelation is that they are unready saints “left behind” to weather the Tribulation storm “with their own blood in absence of the Holy Spirit”! They postulate that the Holy Spirit would have been taken out of the way during their purported pretribulation rapture of some faithful saints of the mainly Gentile Church! This speculative theory lacks any biblical basis because Christ and His Apostles are emphatically explicit that the Coming of Christ and the First ever Resurrection of His Saints will never take place before the Final Great Tribulation (Mat 24:29-31; 1Cor 15:20-26; 2Thes 2:1-4; Rev 20:4-6).

To substantiate their double Church and double Coming theory, Dispensationalists claim that the grammatical usage “KEEP FROM” in Rev 3:10 means the TAKING AWAY of the Church from the world but they forget that the same grammatical usage “KEEP FROM” in John 17:15 is clearly said by Christ not to mean TAKING AWAY from the world! Dispensationalists also claim that the “RESTRAINT” or “RESTRAINER” to be TAKEN OUT OF THE WAY before the REVELATION OF THE MAN OF SIN in 2Thes 2:6-7 is the raptured Church and/or the withdrawn Holy Spirit, but they forget that the context shows that the Church is never to be gathered to Christ until after the revelation of the Man of Sin mentioned in 2Thes 2:1-4, who would be destroyed when Christ comes to gather His Church in 2Thes 2:8.

Therefore, it is not biblically true that Tribulation Saints are unfaithful Christians “left behind” by any modern theorized or speculated pretribulation rapture (2Thes 2:1-3). The Historic Biblical position of the Apostolic and Patriarchal Churches was rather that Tribulation Saints are simply those faithful Christians who would still be living in Christ as the Militant Church by the time of antichristian lawlessness reign. The persecution of the Church under the Antichrist shall precede the only ever FIRST RESURRECTION of any Church saints (Rev 20:1-6); but this shall be more worldwide than similar persecutions found in ancient pre-Constantine Roman Empire, or in former communist Soviet Union USSR and in today’s terrorist Islamic State ISIS territory.

Disregarding every conjectured hypothesis and standing only on contextual biblical exegesis, the sequence of eschatological programme of God for the Church and the world is thus:

OUR WAITING (Our occupying/His redeeming till we overcome at His coming) →→
HIS COMING (the First Resurrection and destruction of the Antichrist) →→
HIS REIGN (the Millennium Reign with the risen Saints) →→
THE END (the Final Conflagration and Judgment) →→
THE ETERNITY (the Eternal Destinies of torment or glory).

THE GREATEST HOPE IS THAT CHRIST WILL COME AGAIN!

THE GREATEST HOPE IS THAT CHRIST WILL COME AGAIN!

Are you sure to partake of this glorious Hope?

The Scriptures teach that when Christ comes again to conquer death for us in the same way He had conquered death in His life, there shall be RESURRECTION with immortal bodies (for those who died in Christ) while there shall be CHANGE to immortality (for those still living in Christ 1Cor 15:52) and RAPTURE together (for both those Raised in Christ and those Changed in Christ 1Thes 4:17).

1 Corinthians 15:51-54
(51)  Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
(52)  in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, AT THE LAST TRUMPET. FOR THE TRUMPET WILL SOUND, and the DEAD WILL BE RAISED imperishable, and WE SHALL BE CHANGED.
(53)  For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and THIS MORTAL BODY MUST PUT ON IMMORTALITY.
(54)  When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
(15)  For this we declare to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until THE COMING OF THE LORD will by no means precede those who have died.
(16)  With a shout of command, with the archangel’s call, and with the SOUND OF GOD’S TRUMPET, the Lord himself will come down from heaven, and THE DEAD IN CHRIST WILL RISE FIRST.
(17)  Then WE WHO ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN WILL BE CAUGHT UP in the clouds together with them to MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR. And so we will BE WITH THE LORD FOREVER.

NOTICE from these Scriptures that we shall not all die before the resurrection because true Christians who shall still be alive at Christ’s Second Coming and the Last Trumpet sound shall be changed without dying.
NOTICE also that the dead in Christ shall first be resurrected, then those living in Christ shall next be changed to be raptured together with the risen dead.

Christ shall Come Again with His Holy Angels (2Thes 1:7) to gather His Elect Saints into glory (2Thes 2:10) and destroy the Antichrist setup (2Thes 2:8-9).

2 Thessalonians 1:6-10
(6)  Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
(7)  And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be REVEALED from heaven WITH HIS MIGHTY ANGELS,
(8)  In flaming fire TAKING VENGEANCE ON THEM THAT KNOW NOT GOD, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
(9)  Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the PRESENCE of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
(10)  WHEN HE SHALL COME TO BE GLORIFIED IN HIS SAINTS, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

At His Second Coming, Christ would descend from the third heaven, shake the space constellations in the second heaven and come down to appear in the atmospheric sky of the first heaven. Then:

  1. The LAST TRUMPET shall sound – by the Archangel.
  2. The dead in Christ (Church Triumphant) shall first be RESURRECTED to immortality.
  3. The living in Christ (Church Militant) shall then be CHANGED to immortality.
  4. The raised Triumphant Saints and changed Militant Saints shall together be RAPTURED and gathered to MEET and welcome the coming Lord in the atmospheric air.
  5. These raptured immortal Saints shall forever be with the Lord to REIGN with Him in the Millennium and REST with Him in the Eternity.

christs-second-comingwhat-next-till-the-end

When would this Second Coming of Christ, the last Trumpet, Resurrection, Rapture, etc be?

  1. Christ said it WILL BE AT THE END OF THE GREAT TRIBULATION (Matt 24:29-31).
  2. The Apostles wrote it WOULD NOT BE TILL AFTER THE ANTICHRIST LAWLESS REIGN AND THE TRIBULATION (1Cor 15:20-26; 2Thes 2:1-4; Rev 20:4-6).
  3. Some Christians in recent times think that it SHOULD BEGIN BEFORE THE ANTICHRIST AND THE TRIBULATION (due to some recent Dispensationalist and Escapist considerations).

Matthew 24:29-31
(29)  “IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION OF THOSE DAYS the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
(30)  Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
(31)  AND HE WILL SEND OUT HIS ANGELS WITH A LOUD TRUMPET CALL, AND THEY WILL GATHER HIS ELECT FROM THE FOUR WINDS, FROM ONE END OF HEAVEN TO THE OTHER.

1 Corinthians 15:20-26
(20)  But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
(21)  For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead.
(22)  For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
(23)  BUT EACH IN HIS OWN ORDER: CHRIST THE FIRSTFRUITS, THEN AT HIS COMING THOSE WHO BELONG TO CHRIST.
(24)  Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.
(25)  For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
(26)  The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4
(1)  NOW CONCERNING THE COMING OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST AND OUR BEING GATHERED TOGETHER TO HIM, WE ASK YOU, BROTHERS,
(2)  not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.
(3)  LET NO ONE DECEIVE YOU IN ANY WAY. FOR THAT DAY WILL NOT COME, UNLESS THE REBELLION COMES FIRST, AND THE MAN OF LAWLESSNESS IS REVEALED, THE SON OF DESTRUCTION,
(4)  who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

Revelation 20:4-6
(4)  Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. THEY CAME TO LIFE AND REIGNED WITH CHRIST FOR A THOUSAND YEARS.
(5)  THE REST OF THE DEAD DID NOT COME TO LIFE UNTIL THE THOUSAND YEARS WERE ENDED. THIS IS THE FIRST RESURRECTION.
(6)  BLESSED AND HOLY IS THE ONE WHO SHARES IN THE FIRST RESURRECTION! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.

Whatever shall be the case, ARE YOUR READY FOR THE LORD?

PROPHECY OF COMING EVENTS

PROPHECY OF COMING EVENTS
The Church is already FALLING AWAY into APOSTASY which in the NT Church is as defiling as an idolatrous ABOMINATION in the OT Temple such that both lead to destruction and desolation (Mat 24:15; 1Cor 3:17).
 .
The events of the End Times which are best sequenced together by Christ in Mat 24:1-31 and Rev 20:1-21:8 clearly contradict many disjointed cut-and-paste sequences by Dispensationalists, Escapist and other theoretical eschatologists, which are popularised these days mainly by American Christians.
 .
Also helpful in getting the right sequence of End Times events are Dan 12:1-3; Acts 3:19-21; 1Cor 15:20-26, 2Thes 2:1-3, and Tit 2:11-13, as shown below:
• ♦Dan 12:1-3. (Times of Trouble→ Resurrection of life→ Resurrection of contempt).
• ♦Matt 24. (The Travail Tribulation Mat_24:3-14; [→ The Temple Desolation Mat_24:15-20;] → The Great Tribulation-The Cataclysm Mat_24:21-29; → The Coming-The Resurrection Mat_24:30-31; Mat_24:36-44; → The Reign [-The End of the Age-] → The Judgement Mat_24:45-51; Mat 25).
• ♦Acts 3:19-21. (Times of Refreshing→ Second Coming of Christ→ Time of Restoration of all things).
• ♦1Co_15:20-26. (After Christ’s Resurrection as the Firstfruits: NEXT is The Saints’ Resurrection at Christ’s Second Coming→ then Christ’s Reign for universal subjugation→ then The End→ then The Judgment of even death itself→ and finally The Handover to the Father for eternal worship).
• ♦2Thes 2:1-3. (The Apostate Falling Away→ Revelation of the Man of Sin and Perdition→ The Day of the Lord‘s Coming for our Gathering to be with Christ).
• ♦Tit_2:11-13. (Grace HAS Appeared→ Godliness/Hope for the Present→ Glory WILL Appear).
 .
WHAT COMES NEXT?
Summarising all the above Scriptures, what we expect regardless of any modern theories, are as follows:
1. ♦OUR WAITING (Our occupying/His redeeming till we overcome at His coming) →→
2. ♦HIS COMING (the First Resurrection and destruction of the Antichrist) →→
3. ♦HIS REIGN (the Millennium Reign with the risen Saints) →→
4. ♦THE END (the Final Conflagration and Judgment) →→
5. ♦THE ETERNITY (the Eternal Destinies of torment or glory).

Seven Mysteries about Children of Covenant Households

Here are some SEVEN MYSTERIES gleaned from the Scripture about CHILDREN OF DIVINE COVENANT HOUSEHOLDS.

  1. TOGETHER WITH ALL HUMANITY, THEY ARE NATURALLY CONCEIVED AND BORN IN SIN (Psa_51:5; Rom_3:23; Rom_5:12; Gal_3:22; Eph_2:3); but as children belonging to New Covenant parents (unlike pagan children (Exo_20:5-6; Luk_7:33), they are clean and holy (Rom_11:16 b; 1Co_7:14) by covenant (ritual/spiritual) grace not by personal (moral/rational) merit. Such children should therefore partake with their parents in all covenant rites and promises (Gen_17:7-14; Act_2:38-39) as well as covenant rallies and fellowships (Deu_29:10-13; Joe_2:16; Act_21:5) despite their social discretional incapacity.
  1. AS COVENANT OFFSPRING, (WHETHER CHILDREN, YOUNG CHILDREN, LITTLE ONES, SUCKLING BABES OR EVEN BABES IN THE WOMB), THEY SHOULD NOT BE DESPISED, because God regards them to be great in His Kingdom (Mat_18:2-6; Mar_10:13-16) and they are constantly represented by their Angels (without the help of adults) before God (Mat_18:10); and even in the womb, they could be filled with the Holy Spirit (Luk_1:15, 44) or be divinely ordained to be prophets (Jer_1:5).
  1. DESPITE THEIR LACK OF COMMUNICABLE DISCRETION, THEY ARE EXPLICITLY DECLARED BY CHRIST’S WARNING TO BE ‘BELIEVERS’ AS THEIR PARENTS ARE (Mat_18:6-7), and of ‘GREAT’ regard in His Kingdom (Mat_18:2-4); so also were the Apostles persuaded about believers’ children (2Ti_1:5; Act_16:31).
  1. THEIR SOCIAL DEFICIENCY IN COGNITIVE CULTURAL COMMUNICATION DOES NOT IMPLY SPIRITUAL IRRELEVANCE, EXCLUSION OR DISADVANTAGE (Psa_8:2; Mat_11:25; Mat_21:15-16). Human Cultural incapacity of little children does not automatically result in Divine Covenant inadequacy for all little children of the New Covenant (Mat_18:1-6, 10; Mar_10:13-16).
  1. THEIR BELIEVING PARENTS SHOULD NOT FAIL OR BE FORBIDDEN TO BRING THEM FOR FULL COVENANTING AND CONSECRATION TO GOD (Gen_17:14; Exo_4:24-26; Mar_10:13-14), while the Church should not refuse to receive them for every ministrations, ordinances and rites of the New Covenant (e.g. baptismal initiation, benedictory dedication, instructive and intercessory impartations) done in Christ’s Name (Mat_18:5; Mar_10:15-16; Act_2:38-39).
  1. Through MINISTRATION in the power of the Holy Spirit, the Church should (by covenant ritual/spiritual grace) bring them to
  • be outwardly baptized/initiated (i.e. ‘COVENANTED’ or ‘born’) with Water (Eze_36:25-27; Mat_3:11; Joh_3:5; Joh_13:7-10; Act_2:38-39; Tit_3:5; 1Pe_3:21) and
  • be outwardly dedicated/blessed with prayer (Mar_10:15-16);

Also through prayerful and exemplary INSTRUCTION, they should thereafter be cleansed (washed or sanctified) by the Spirit and Truth with the Word (Joh_6:63; Joh_15:3; Joh_17:17; Eph_5:26; Heb_4:12) until they (by personal moral commitment)

  • become inwardly reborn from above (‘CONVERTED’ or recreated) of the Holy Spirit and by the Word (Joh_3:6-8; Tit_3:5; 1Pe_1:22-23) and
  • still continue subsequently to be cleansed and equipped to grow by the Word unto maturity (Eph_4:11-14; Eph_5:26-27; 2Ti_3:15-17; 1Pe_2:2).

  1. AS THEY ARE REARED TO GROW UP IN STATURE AND WISDOM, THEY SHOULD ALSO BE EQUIPPED TO MATURE IN THE FAITH, by the Word and by the Holy Spirit while with diligence, they consciously work out their salvation which God graciously works in them (Php_2:12-13; 2Pe_1:10).

GRACE versus GLORY

GRACE is the gift of God which equips the believer to press toward the prize of GLORY.
Don’t let God’s Saving Grace be in vain in your life, but press, labour and race with its enabling power till you reach Glory..

1Co 15:10
(10) But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

2Co 6:1
(1) We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that you receive not the grace of God in vain.
